Bitossi Figura Sole

The Figura Sole is a ceramic sun motif designed by Aldo Londi for the Rimini Blu collection. Measuring 21cm in height, its circular form is engraved with a radiating pattern of abstract and geometric shapes, applied by stencil to create a rhythmic, almost celestial texture. The vivid turquoise glaze, layered over hand-brushed cobalt accents, enhances the engraved surface with a luminous finish that shifts with the light—an effect that echoes the sea-inspired origins of the Rimini Blu series.

Each Figura Sole is pressed in white refractory clay and finished by hand in Montelupo, Italy, using the same artisanal methods developed by Londi in the 1950s. The decoration emerges fully after firing, when glaze and texture combine to reveal the depth and character of each piece.
